Laboratory animal science
The HZI provides researchers working on campus with some of its resources in experimental animal science. Laboratory mice are bred and kept in the animal facility. The service unit "Transgenic Mice" breeds genetically modified mice by targeting the genome of stem cells or zygotes. The "mouse pathology" platform specializes in the production of histological sections and their pathological evaluation.
